ABOUT ME

I am a lifelong learner. Teaching is not only profession for me, it is my passion. I believe Teaching is inspiring change in young minds, helping them identify and understand their interests and motivate to pursue the desired goal.

In my professional carrier of more than 33 years as faculty in Electronics and communication domain, I have explored various areas including Image and video processing, Computer Vision and microwave communication, Internet of Things. Research in the field of Video compression helped me to master the field of Image and video processing and Computer vision.

Internet of Things, the Disruptive technology has influenced me a lot in last few years. My current research is in the field of Urban Agriculture particularly hydroponics , Assistive technology development for Visually challenged , Object detection and recognition as well as Bringing Computer vision and Artificial Intelligence to the Network edge called edge intelligence.

I strongly believe involving students in the teaching learning process to promote meaningful learning experiences. I enjoy getting involved in project-based learning with the Students.

Currently, I am associated with School of Electronics and Communication Engineering, MIT-WPU, Kothrud, Pune
